November 2007—Thanks to our many generous donors, we are now open for business! With the clinic now open, we ask those interested in helping us to support our voucher program. More details about how you can help!
May
2007—Animal Advocates of Moore County, Inc. generously donated a gift of
$50,000.00 to renovate and equip the Cat Room at the Companion Animal Spay/Neuter Clinic. The donation marks
a joint commitment by the Board of Directors of Animal Advocates and the Companion
Animal Clinic Board of Directors to meet the challenge of controlling the animal
overpopulation problem in the Sandhills.
“Our board is very happy to present the Companion Animal Clinic with a check for $50,000 to speed up the clinic’s opening date. We also want our many loyal members to understand that the money we are donating was a gift to Animal Advocates of Moore County (AAMC) from the estate of Mrs. Francis K. Trees,” said Maureen Burke-Horansky, President of Animal Advocates, a local animal-welfare organization.

The CAC Foundation wishes to thank
our generous donors. Without you, we could never have reached our goals to renovate, equip,
and open the Spay/Neuter Veterinary
Clinic of the Sandhills!
Future
fund-raising will support vouchers, used to pay the difference between the service fee and the "real costs" for spay or neuter for animals
owned by individuals that can not afford the services of a private practitioner and animal welfare groups.
Once the clinic is in operation for three years, we will begin an initiative
to purchase a mobile Spay & Neuter
Unit to subsidize efforts for spay/neuter in more remote areas of the region.
The building and equipment phase of fundraising was successful, but we need your continued support in the form of voucher donations!
Your financial support directly subsidizes spay/neuter at the Spay/Neuter Veterinary Clinic of the Sandhills. All donations to the CAC Foundation are tax deductable (501c3#20-2886984). Download
the CAC Donation Form (as a PDF document).
