April 14, 2012: "Quest for the Best" Challenge at Reflections Farm, 369 Black Hawk Road, Vass, N.C.
On April 14, some of the best riders in the Sandhills area went head to head in the “Quest for the Best” Challenge. The Challenge is the feature event at the Reflections Farm Dressage and Versatility Show to benefit the Companion Animal Clinic Foundation.
Riders competed in Refined Horse Versatility, which is a test of refinement and versatility. The refinement phase was the USDF Training Level 3 Dressage test. In the Versatility phase, riders negotiated obstacles and performed tasks which could be encountered in the course of a pleasant outing, e.g. mounting, walking over a bridge, opening/closing a gate, putting on a slicker, etc. In the bonus round, riders loaded their horse on a horse trailer. The judges looked for the horse who best represents the ideal partner.
Everyone was a winner as money was raised to spay/neuter animals at the Spay Neuter Veterinary Clinic in Vass, N.C. Much thanks to Reflections Farm and Linda Hoover's Versatility Horsemanship Leadership for a wonderful day.

3rd Place- Gina Fiore and Remington (Eventing)
4th Place-Nick Ellis and Lizzy (Hunter/Mule)
5th Place-Rose George and Pumpkin (TREC)
6th Place-Amy Bresky and Welkin (Dressage)
People's Choice Award-Nick Ellis and Lizzy
