The goal of Companion Animal Clinic Foundation (CACF) is reduction of unwanted and un-owned animals in Central North Carolina. CACF supports spay/neuter at the Spay Neuter Veterinary Hospital in Vass, N.C. where over 30,000 spay/neuter surgeries have been performed at the Spay Neuter Veterinary Clinic since opening in 2008.

The Spay Neuter Veterinary Clinic/Companion Animal Clinic Foundation receive no county or state support.  All funding is used locally in support of spay/neuter operations. CAC Foundation is an all volunteer organization and has no paid staff.

Call for an appointment to spay or neuter your pet!

The Spay Neuter Veterinary Clinic provides spay/neuter/rabies for animal welfare groups and individuals who do not have and cannot afford a private veterinarian. The Spay Neuter Veterinary Clinic receives no state or county funding. All money raised by Companion Animal Clinic Foundation is used locally in support of the SNVC.  CAC Foundation is an all volunteer organization with no paid staff.

CAC Foundation works with targeted groups to build a "culture of spay/neuter" and responsible pet ownership. 

CAC has partnered with the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine for community outreach and education. Availablity of spay neuter at the Spay Neuter Veterinary Clinic of the Sandhills allows animal control facitlities an opportunity to alter the current social environment that contributes to the use of euthanasia.

The Spay Neuter Veterinary Clinic/Companion Animal Clinic Foundation  receives no county or state assistance.

Reasons to Spay/Neuter

  • 1 cat and their offspring in 7 years may produce 420,000 kittens

  • 1 dog and their offspring in 6 years may produce 67,000 puppies

  • There are 70,000 kittens and puppies born in the U.S. every day

  • Between 4 million to 6 million pets are euthanized every year because they are homeless...that means between 11,000-16,000 pets are euthanized every day or an animal is killed every 1.5 seconds in the US
